Note: For raiding rules see The Unpleasant Truth (RULES AND STUFF!)

Code of Conduct:

Regardless of your rank in the guild, if you carry the Magna Carta tag under your name you are representing our guild and we expect you to act as such. This means good behavior and politeness when you're PUG'ing, respect for people in guild chat, not acting like a dumbass in trade chat, etc.
Aside from good behavior, there are a handful of hard and fast rules. Breaking these rules can result in disciplinary action or immediate removal from the guild:

    No racism, sexism, slurs, etc.

We are a mature guild, but if you cross a line and offend someone, back off. Period.

No harassment of anyone in the game or in real life, ever. Respect your fellow players.

No ninjas. If we ever see proof anyone in the guild intentionally ninja'd they will be immediately removed from the guild without discussion.

Don't annoy the hell out of everyone.

Raiding Outside our Guild

You are forbidden x 1000 to raid outside our guild if you are saved to one of our raids. This is raid ID jacking and can result in disciplinary action or removal from the guild.
If you are not saved to our raids, and are not signed up (and do not wish to sign up) for anything that week, then you are free to attend any other raid you like. If you CAN attend our raid and choose join a PUG, however, that could be warrant disciplinary action.

Guild Ranks

The guild ranks are as follows:

    Probationary
    Social Member (Non Raider)
    Raider
    Senior Raider
    Veteran
    Officer
    Guild Master

Probationary:
You enter our guild on Probation for a week or two. This is so we can get to know you, and you can get to know us.

Social Member:
If you're a friend of a friend, or dating someone, or someone's mother by all means you are welcome to join.

Raider:
After you have been to a few raids with us we will bump you up to Raider. This is the "main" guild member rank.

Senior Raider:
Senior Raider is a rank that denotes a person having the gear to compete in our progression raids, the intelligence and situational awareness to easily handle the raid strategies involved, the drive to learn the strategies beforehand and to gear up with crafting gear and/or badge gear. These are our best and most able raiders. Unlike the other ranks, people are promoted to Senior Raider when they have earned it, not after a set time.
Senior Raiders are given a repair budget from the Guild Bank on difficult raids.

Veteran:
Somewhere between Senior Raider and Officer lies Veteran. There's no real equation to who becomes a Vet, it just happens when it happens.
Veterans can speak in Officer Chat, and also get a repair budget from the Guild Bank per raid.

Guild Master = Me. The guy who spends 95% of his WoW time planning, scheduling, talking to guildies, arranging raids, stresses out over recruiting and maintaining the right amount of classes in the guild, pays for Vent, runs the website, creates and enforces guild policy, and usually leads raid groups.

Guild Bank

Funding the guild bank:

We do not want to rely on asking our members for donations of gold to fund the bank. Personally I think that is unfair and a flawed system of funding a guild. The Gbank is funded through AH'ing BOE epics/blues that drop during raids, and enchanting mats.

Asking for things in the guild bank:

Items in the guild bank are given to guild members based on how much we feel they contribute to the guild's progression, and how much effort they put into gearing their own character as opposed to sitting around all week and waiting for a raid to gear themselves up.

Feel free to post any questions you have here.

So we would just ask to have an invite to the guild and then we go on like a trial?
